About us

The Photo-Art Association of Singapore (PAS) was approved by the Registrar of Society on February 25, 1965 and was officially established on April 18, 1965 by a group of photo enthusiasts. PAS is a non-profitable photo society. Its goals are to promote photography as an art and to improve the picture-taking standard of its members.

影艺研究会简介

新加坡影艺研究会是在1965年2月25日受社团注册局所批准而成立为一间非营利的摄影团体。正式的活动则是由一群摄影爱好者于1965年4月18日所发起的。影艺研究会成立的宗旨是促进摄影艺术，提高会员们的摄影水平。

How to become a member of PAS

Any person who is interested in photography and agrees to the rules and regulations of the society may apply as a member. Entrance Fee is S$30 and Annual Subscription is S$36.

如何成为影艺会员

任何人士，只要对摄影有兴趣，而且同意遵守本会的章程，都可以申请成为会员。入会基金是新币30元，每年会费是新币36元。

Exhibition & Competition

The PAS holds the International Photo-Art Exhibition in every 2-years. It is organized in accordance with the recommended practices and rules of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). All acceptances are eligible for PSA’s who’s who and Star Ratings. Acceptances are also taken into account in AFIAP and EFIAP distinctions.

Besides, the club organizes a half yearly photo-competition for its members. Members may submit monochrome print, color print, color slide or digital images for the competition.

影展与摄影比赛

影艺研究会每两年举办一次国际艺术摄影展览。此影展是根据美国摄影学会(PSA)及国际影艺联盟(FIAP)所订沙龙规章办理。入选作品可申请列入摄影家名录及星级计分。入选作品也受AFIAP及EFIAP明衔所承认。

此外，本会也每半年举行一次会员作品比赛。参赛作品可以是黑白照片，彩色照片，彩色幻灯片或数码影像。

Photographic courses

The PAS organizes courses for its members. The courses include Digital Photography, Digital Darkroom and Studio Lighting Course. Public who are interested in attending these courses may check out with the club.

摄影课程

本会也为会员主办摄影课程以提高会员的摄影造诣。课程包括数码摄影，数码暗房及室内灯光等。对这些课程有兴趣的公众，也可直接到会所询问。

Club house facilities

An air conditioned photo-studio with fully equipped accessories for courses use as well as for members of the lighting group to create their in-door photographic techniques.

会所设备

本会拥有冷气影室， 内有设备齐全的冷光照明。除了上课外，会员也可以学习灯光人像的创作。

Photographic outing

Every Sunday, the PAS organizes photographic outing for its members in Singapore. It also organizes overseas trips to the neighbouring countries during holidays.

外影

本会每个星期天都主办外影，足迹遍布全岛各地。此外本会也利用假期或长周末组团到邻国拍摄，这些活动每次都得到会员们的热烈支持。

Studio lighting

Studio lighting is conducted on the 2nd and the 4th Sunday of the month. The session starts at around 1 pm in the club house.

灯光

每月的第2及第4个星期天，本会也为会员们主办灯光摄影。时间是下午1时至3时。地点是本会冷气影室。

Photographic talk

The PAS organized Photographic talk for its members on the 3rd Sunday of the month between 11:00 am 12:30 pm. Invited speakers share their experiences or showcase their photographic works.

摄影讲座

每月的3个星期天，都为会员主办摄影讲座，时间是上午11点至12点30分。主讲者与会员分享心得或展示个人作品。

Associateship & Fellowship

The PAS Associateship and Fellowship are open to all members. Members who are interested may submit their photographic work to the Title Awarding Committee for consideration. Closing date for submission is 25th December of each year. Those whose master pieces satisfy the Title Awarding Committee of the Standard in their techniques will be awarded with the titles accordingly. Successful applicant has the right to use the letter APAS and FPAS, so long as they remain to be member of the Association.

影衔

影艺会员们可以于每年的12月25日前呈上他们的作品，以考取影艺会士荣衔(APAS)或是影艺高级会士荣衔(FPAS)。

Club house opening hours

The PAS club house is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 pm to 10 pm. Members are welcome to visit the club house during the opening hours.

会所开放时间

影艺会所每星期一，三及五从晚上8时到10时开放，让会员们活动。
